He was a genius and he acted well in Twin Peaks.

The modern follow up was excellent but the original was an all time classic TV show.

Currently re-watching Twin Peaks (my go-to post-Christmas series).

Felt like this news has been imminent for a while, his health has been poor. Real shame though, a proper talent gone.

Best film - Mulholland Drive

As much as I like Mulholland drive, the Elephant Man (yes he directed it) will probably be the film that has to be number one in his hit list, for many reasons.

I think Blue Velvet is probably my favourite out of the three.

Lets also celebrate the music video 'Wicked Game' that captivated teenagers like myself with three minutes of female beauty .

I’m surprised Wild at Heart hasn’t been mentioned. That’s probably Lynch at his bonkers best.

I’ve not seen Eraserhead, I started watching it many years ago however it lost me.

Blue Velvet is probably my favourite. I remember watching it for the first and being absolutely astonished. Hopper’s performance will be remembered for a very long time.
