Southport KIller Attacks Staff With Boiling Water
Discussion
"The Southport killer Axel Rudakubana attacked a prison officer at HMP Belmarsh, The Telegraph understands.
Rudakubana is believed to have thrown boiling water over a guard at the prison in southeast London on Thursday.
The officer was taken to nearby Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich as a precaution and is expected to return to work next week."

Why are we still letting multiple murderers access to boiling water to attack staff with. I am amazed the prison officer union is not all over this.

Minimise, deflect, distract.
Don't be daft. The media and the authorities will rightly be asking how he got access to boiling water.
I'm sure it hurts just as much if it's thrown at you or over you but in terms of how you deal with the risk there's a world of difference between having access to a cup of tea in a kitchen or canteen or having access to a tap and kettle in a cell.
“Rudakubana was in his cell at HMP Belmarsh at the time and allegedly heated the water up using a kettle in the room, Sky News understands
…
He then threw the boiling water at the officer, who was standing outside the cell, through a hatch in his door, it is claimed.
…
Cell door hatches are used to pass medication to prisoners and most of them have kettles in their cells, Sky News understands.”
Quite an easy one to solve.

Sounds like boiled water, not boiling water if returning to work so soon.
Are we not giving prisoners hot drinks now?
Why do you need hot drinks , I’ve survived for years on just drinking cold water ( recommended with my health condition ) by a medical professional .Are we not giving prisoners hot drinks now?
I’m still alive , I’m sure he would he would be if he just drank cold water , and it would make the prison staff safer , which I’d of thought was the main priority .
No kettle ever again. Add more years to the end of his term.
Also get rid of that stupid photo of him sucking his lips in and trying to look like some kind of demon edgelord.
Replace it with a pic of him in his cell on his own with nothing in there looking like the sadsack he is.
Utter bare minimum to keep him alive and bored and lets all move on and forget he existed.

I don't think anyone suggested a need. They don't need a lot of things, but typically we treat prisoners in a civil manner.I’m still alive , I’m sure he would he would be if he just drank cold water , and it would make the prison staff safer , which I’d of thought was the main priority .

He should be in a living hell for what he did, not making himself a cup of tea.
Want nice things, simple, dont kill people. end of.

There is a difference between treating prisoners in a civil manner and giving an inmate with a history of extreme violence free access to a kettle; that should be a privilege earned after proving over an extended period that he can behave in a civil manner.eldar said:

Which is fine. But must be reciprocated. It’s a shame the scum ever got the chance to use a kettle in the first place…
