Not sure I remember seeing or hearing much about this dirtbag but he's been sentenced to life.

The footage is shocking no pun intended.

What surprised me was how ineffective both the taser and pepper spray were. Article says he had body armour so probably stopped the darts, but I'd have expected police issued chemicals to be nastier than that.

Taser isnt as good as Axon would have you believe.

Pava has to get into people's eyes to work, I'd much prefer the old nasty CS which works in the respiratory system.


Very brave actions of the officers, that should have been a firearms deployment but some times you can't wait/don't get the opportunity to wait. Probably good for the subject as I imagine he'd have been shot.

Whenever I see something like that it really hits home that we have an incredibly high bar to lethal force being used whether that's due to the time taken to call it in or it very much being seen as a last resort.

In many other countries I think he'd be dead.
