Can he really not see how many things are better now than in 1965 when he was born? I am older than him and much as I will defend the 1970s even I wouldn't claim they were paradise.

I cant read much of it, but I was born in 1965 and my memory of the 1970s is mainly strikes, power cuts, rail crashes and the IRA. (Great music though.)
