A search is under way for a missing woman in Northwich (police concerned for her safety). For some reason, local businesses have been asked to close. Doesn't make sense to me, doe anyone know why?

The water and sailing park has closed and is being searched.

I saw that but some of the headlines stated that local businesses, plural, were forced to close.

Assuming it’s a site with adverts, it just always click bait to get the clicks

Could be a selected number of businesses that adjoin a defined search area - allows the area to be closed off and the possible crime scene to be protected?

They've brought divers in so clearly suspect the worst. Makes sense now to close the water park, don't want kids finding anything

It's less than a mile from me and I've heard nothing about business closing. It could be that the holiday lodges on the same site are closed though, which would make sense. There aren't many other businesses in the immediate area

Oh how terribly sad. You always hope for the best with stories like this. A tragedy for the family.
