Seeing reports that the London airspace control centre is down and U.K. airspace is now closed with lots of flights diverting

Good thing we have a backup like we do with the Heathrow power supply.

Currently sitting on the tarmac in Venice waiting to return to London, hopefully making a delayed connection to Aberdeen. Captain has just said over 400 flights delayed - confidence level in making it home tonight receding.

We were third or fourth in line for take off at Heathrow, ended up being delayed for about three hours. Thankfully made it in the end!

Well we got in about 90 mins late, would have made our connection which was also delayed, but got bumped off it and now heading to a London hotel. Tomorrow will be an interesting return to work…
