Moronic flag-shaggers littering the environment with stty flags imported from the far east; if they genuinely feel patriotism and want to make things better they could do a litter-pick, tidy up some derelict land, stand for elected office, volunteer at any number of community organisations who would welcome the help and could spend the money wasted on stty flags more productively.

The flag is not racist....some people who display it are.

The world would be a better place if flags were banned.

Apart from race tracks, of course.

We'd all have to have tarmac patios.

It really wouldn't. Britain is the only place that hates our flag. Everywhere else I've ever been has zero problems with their flag. Banning flags world wide because of our hang up would be a overkill.

Seems to be working even better than we thought.

I've recently driven right across France a couple of times - every tiny village has numerous French flags flying, as they have done for years. I am not sure why we seem to find it so divisive.

That fact you’re this upset about people wanting to be able to display their countries flag speaks volumes.

Perhaps councils should leave them flying high and proud and stop pissing off their locals more than they already have, then the thugs won’t turn to vandalism in response, perhaps?

My neighbour flies his Ghanaian flag outside his window proudly and has done for the 4 years I’ve been here. Nobody has asked him to take it down, nor should they.

OP, triggered rofl

So many more serious things to get wound up about but has to be annoyed by bits of flapping material.

There's always loads of stars and stripes flying in the US. Even in school classrooms - wouldn't be allowed to have the Union flag in classrooms here.

It's hard to take seriously this belief in flying flags as being intrinsically worthy when it's invariably the sttiest, cheapest garbage that is bought and flown, Crappy printed rubbish that fades in weeks and flogs to rags in the same time. If anything it displays contempt for the flag, treating it as worthless and disposable, the same vacuous behaviour as those who put up bunting or daubed bedsheets for a retirement or birthday and never take them down.

Two-tier vexillophilia from the left again. UK/England flag bad. Palestinian flags everywhere fine.

It’s because the usual suspects are not here yet, just wait and they will turn up eventually.
