Has anyone noticed that, despite the vast majority of dinghy migrants being young males, the majority of victims who drown or are crushed by others on board appear to be women, children and babies? There may be exceptions when the boats fully sink with all on board. Makes you wonder whether these "men" are people we really want in our country.

The Bidens couldn't have cared less of the 100's who drowned in the Rio Grande,
The EU don't care about the 100's drowned in the Med
And all the British charity NGO's in Calais don't care,

Personally each one is a tragedy but I'm detached from it,
When I get on a boat travel across water I make sure It's a commercial safe vessel

Unfortunately no one cares
Especially the young males dinghy migrants

Are they? Genuine question, what are the actual stats?

Dangerously overcrowded boat that should have been prevented from leaving the beach, by the French or if they won't they should allow the UK to police it.
It's no secret where these pickups take place and they can be prevented.

The way to prevent these deaths is to at least stop any boat leaving the beach that is carrying more occupants than it can safely carry.

Stopping any boat would be the measure most would want.

Change the law on asylum.
change the law on legally challenging the ability to change this law.
change the law on illegal migrants getting a lawyer who is allowed to defend them against deportation etc.

in short root cause the start of any proceedure that stops or hinders immediate deportation of illegals.

The boats don't generally go to the beach any more because too many of them were stopped.

When you say change the law on asylum, do you mean make it legal to send people back to death and torture?

No, because the French apply the same asylum law as we do. If you can persuade the French to take them back, go for it, that will work. See also one in one out, of course.

They park in the nearest Carrefour car park and then fire them out of a cannon into the Channel.

Its very easy to play the moral high ground card but there wont be a high ground for you in 10 15 years or less when city centres get worse than they already are.

It seems the French are happy to ignore maritime law allowing overloaded unsafe vessels which are a threat to life to cast off their coast surely just waving them off is illegal knowing they may sink. But hey ho they obviously don't give a ---- the EU are a joke, the law only comes into play once they arrive in British waters strange that eh, very two tier!

You didn't answer the question. What would you change about the law on asylum? The only thing it stops you doing is sending people back to death or torture.
