No idea if these idiots actually get any meaningful punishment for these stunts that are now getting more common and more ridiculous. They are nothing about protest. They are purely vandalism. I would be in full support of some changes to the law to come back this kind of stuff it's been going on for ages now, from just stop oil spray painting buildings to this kind of stuff. Would happily see some serious jail sentences handed out to act a deterrent to these absolute idiots.

Professional protesters, keeps them busy i suppose. They'll have come from JSO probably a bit of Gaza protesting thrown in.

Some greens/eco protests, probably squatting as well.

For many this is a full time activity, jumping from protest to protest.

It beggars belief. Hang the 4 of them. Wasting apple crumble? What have we come to as a nation?

They should probably also get a telling off for the crown thing.

Performance protesting seems to be the thing now. Done for clicks, headlines and reactions.

Gone too far now as they seem to want to up the ante every time and the message gets lost in the action if there was a message in the first place.

'tax the rich!' apparently. What on earth do these Muppets hope to achieve, apart from seriously harming their future employability??

I'm not sure they actually want to achieve anything. It's about the struggle, the feeling of being the resistance, presenting themselves as the noble revolutionaries, better than the rest. Suspect too it tends to happen when they realise they don't have a lot to offer and this gives them a sense of purpose as well as moral superiority. Alternatively there's also the guys just doing it to get in the pants of the women doing it, don't rule that out (and of course the other way round too, in whatever combination you want to imagine).

If they actually got whatever it is they are sruggling for they wouldn't have a clue what to do with it & would most likely just shuffle off to be activists against something else instead, leaving everyone else to pick up the pieces. This probably sums up a fair proportion of the more mild yet loony end of activism (on any topic).

Wonder who organised this crew, as these people always follow the same pattern and it's always someone else sorting out the cannonfodder/useful idiots from a safe distance.

At least this stuff won't be demanding too much funding, unlike prior agitation that needed money from US NGOs and billionaire philanthropist agitators.

I'd hope for some consequences to land on them but I'm not sure they will.

I don’t know what part of it is more stupid.

The act itself or the people taking part thinking it will actually achieve anything (for whatever they’ve decided the noble cause is).

I wonder if they appreciate the irony of protesting against 'the rich' using platforms such as X owned by Musk, or facett etc.

They really need to watch Wolfe Smiths role in the TPPF to see how laughable they really are.

It's exactly the same situation as the protestors who were going onto supermarkets and taking milk from the shelves and pouring over the place which resulted in the store having to be closed for cleaning.

Their actions are possibly criminal but the likely punishment upon conviction is a joke and probably in their little world going to be a badge of honour. They won't have considered the consequences of a criminal record on future prospects. what does need to be done is methodically deal with recording and fully documenting costs of dealing with damage and consequential losses and hit them with that, including civil action if necessary. The flaw in that argument I will accept is that these idiots probably have zero assets to be claimed, but personally would still try to get what is possible. Follow it to the end, including further action if fail to pay a court order.

Yep, it's always "Tax the rich" with these freaks. Ironic that anti-capitalists are always obsessed with other people's money and success.

Their spokesman was just given airtime on LBC.
Bleated on about the billionaires being all powerful, 3 million kids in poverty in the UK, blah blah blah.... As soon as he started on about the labour party being complicit in genocide in Gaza, I switched channels.
I'm surprised that LBC gave this Muppet a platform - it appears to be rent a mob yet again.

Giving muppets a platform is their entire output, and this one talked for free.

Gee, I wonder why they would think that...

When you see your nation's wealth increasingly pooling among a handful of people while an increasing number are struggling to get by, why wouldn't you expect people to be pissed off? History shows us this kind of greed has a tipping point and it usually doesn't end pleasantly.

That said, there's no excuse for wasting crumble.

People protesting do it in a way that gains the most attention for the least effort and risk. Hardly a stunning insight.
