Muslims "dominating" Trafalgar Square

Can someone tell me why this is supposed to be a problem?

PM urges Badenoch to sack shadow minister over Muslim comments

I doubt he'd be saying it if a bunch of Christians started to pray there and I understand Trafalgar Square has been used regularly for events by Sikhs and Jews and probably other religions.

It's almost a rhetorical question but other than plain and simple Islamophobia what's the actual issue here?

I would say that any religious practice like that is best kept within religious institutions, which is an appropriate place for them.

Maybe a freedom from religion event held there would not be so welcome?

Muslims should be allowed to hold (infrequent) segregated prayer events in Trafalgar Square and people should be allowed to say they shouldn't be allowed.

One question is what would have happened if a woman tourist (Muslim or otherwise) had wandered into the designated male area?

Allowing women to mix with men and/or go wherever they want is not an exclusively Christian viewpoint. I'm sure many Atheists think women should be allowed to go wherever they want.
