Woke up to this all over my faceache page with all the comments already saying the driver was no doubt an engineer/doctor etc

Hope the people involved all recover well and thankfully no one was killed in it.

Seems that every kneejerked jump to conclusion hasn't turned out to be who they suspected.
The last few incidents like this I've seen was the Mad Marine, a nutter who was refused entry into pub so drove into the bouncers and queue to enter the pub and a couple of panicy old farts unused to automatics tearing into shops and petrol stations with the throttle to the floor thinking it was the brake pedal.
Given that, and given the law of averages maybe it this driver will finally be who they really really want him to be so the can finally have the satisfaction of saying "we told you so".

I just saw a small piece on this and "hoped" it wasnt in the UK. That's awful of me to say that. It's bad in whatever country it happened, but its me being honest.

I hope now that it wasn't some terrorist thing and that it was at best (awful use of word) an accident and at worse someone other than a terrorist

I can't see what is wrong with the original post or poster myself. It's news.
Times we live in unfortunately people will speculate.
One surprising thing is that the original post hadnt been made by a different poster

Right outside my wife’s work office. She was also within 30 minutes of walking past the bank last year where there was a fatal stabbing.

Sky and GBN are certainly reporting differently. As you would expect….

Having been to India, I would suggest this is fairly typical driving.

Dude is probably wondering what all the fuss is about.

Hope those injured make a speedy recovery.

What would you classify it as?

"Sandhu Ponnachan, 36, who only spoke to confirm his name and address, has been charged with six counts of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and one count of attempted GBH with intent, one count of dangerous driving, and one count of possession of a bladed article."

I'd probably start with something along the lines of racially aggravated attempted murder or terrorism. But that's just me

I can see why it could possibly be attempted murder but there’s nothing in the article to suggest it was either racially aggravated or terrorist?

If you have information about the suspect's motivation that you haven't shared with the police and the CP you should probably do that. Right away.

Armed, non native men driving cars into crowds of innocents. MO of previous terrorists.
Maybe I'm just working off pattern recognition.

or he could just be mental

If he’d been Muslim that might possibly have been an option but he’s not (and in any case the CT police will have looked at that).

Why the suggestion of racism? Has there been a pattern of racists driving into crowds?

IMO much more likely a mental.

All he needs is a sentence of 12 months or more.

Then will come the inevitable asylum claim, appeals, 'uman rights appeal etc. Some legal people on here say that no-one will take up because they don't make money out of them, despite the fact there are 1,001 3rd floor immgration lawyers in abundance working these cases.
