And that will be a great science thread: we’re all about the news!I saw Endeavour take off from Canaveral, it's quite a surreal experience, this dot appears on the horizon and it's gone in seconds, your brain can't comprehend it all. The weird bit was the speakers hearing the shuttle to ground transmission.

I was in Florida and saw a Saturn V launch to the spaced shuttle in, I think, 1994. Unforgettable.

In 1994 there were no Saturn V launches, the last one was to Skylab 1n the 70's.

I worked right next to the NASA rocket test stand at Stennis MS when I was working at Rolls Royce jet engine test stand and say quite a few rocket test firings in preparation for this Artemis launch. The exhaust smoke from the Solid Rocket Motors is a very different matter.
The extreme violence of these things going off is something that will stay with me forever, it used to form a rain cloud in the sky above where I was working which then gave a 30 second or so rain shower.
Incredible.
