I see that Mr Vance is up to the usual Republican trick
of trying to get a pro russian, less pro EU president in place.

JD Vance due in Hungary to back Orban's re-election bid https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cyv16lq2rp1o

Cant think of a better excuse not to vote for someone when a Trumpy shill gets behind a candidate

He did the same thing in Germany at a NATO summit, using it as an AFD advert. It's like living in a world with two Russias.

As did Obama during the Brexit referendum.

So not election interference then. Unless you remember Obama publicly backing one UK party over another?

At where America currently is, announcing they are going to bomb another countries civilian infrastructure, they're no better than Putin.

I don't think an American endorsement is anything but political poison these days.

Farage regularly stuck his nose in during the US elections although I'm not sure his endorsement meant anything to the Yanks (and nor would the Labour activists background attempts to help Harris either).

Surely this goes back a long way. Russia and Ukraine seemed to have a good enough relationship for several gas pipelines to be built to Europe.
Suddenly how is USA going to sell its energy and impose its influence? So big mess going forward. In fact its really gaining momentum now.

Not election, just a referendum. I'm not sure there is a big difference.

As did Labour on behalf of the Dems during the last presidential election.

Really not very clever, but they should've tried harder.

Vance and co are so tone deaf and blind that their interference should be welcomed.

The more there is, the more likely it is that Europe's various Russian cancers are sliced out.

Most of that isn't interference. Even what vance is doing. Sure it's not going to help Orban and I just feel terrible about that.

Interference isn't offering overt support, interference is more underhanded... Like what the Russians did to support Brexit (and doing to support reform).

True.

Though I'm sure the CIA has been tasked with offering the odd helping hand here and there.

Present locale: Colombia... Just ask the Colombians about US interference.

I think the big difference is Russia's FSB is more competent.
