So when will Reform and conservatives form an alliance then
Discussion
As the title says chaps,
With Labour slowly going down the plug hole I doubt they will get much of the vote next time round
however with the way its all polling at the moment the vote will be very split amongst the opposition so we may end up with a hung parliment and so remain in actionless limbo
however if Reform and the conservatives were to get into bed with each other , possibly wrapping in the Respect mob too then they're more likely to get into power proper
thoughts ?

Far too early at the moment and for all their ills, reform have the upper hand so there's little point.
Besides, all the loons are jumping from the Tories to Reform/Restore and clearing Tory house of them is no bad thing at the moment. They want to come back with as little baggage as possible.
I suppose the time to ask this question is when we're a year out from the GE and what the polls say then.

There are people who will vote tory who wouldn't vote for any form of alliance with Reform and certainly not Restore.
Similarly there are people who would vote Labour who won't vote for any alliance with the Green Party.
Labour or Tory need to capture voters who aren't being pulled further left or right.

A Conservative party that disposed of every pinhead shouting about 'woke', immigration and B word, and filled with itself with qualified adults with ideas about how to get out of everyone's way while running things in a competent and sustainable manner for the present population would rule for a billion years compared to the current choices.
I'd assume that's what most people want, the ones we never hear much from.
It won't happen as none of them have a clue, but if they had functioning minds they'd be moving away from Nige and concentrating on addressing the actual problems of people who live in the real world.

In the 2019 election, I do recall Labour and Lib Dems ganging up against the Conservatives (including some guy with a megaphone at the local station encouraging us to do so!) Now I would assume many Conservatives would prefer Reform to win if the alternative was Labour, so maybe local pacts if not a national one.

You mean the party who were obliterated at the 2024 GE?Yeah, ignoring immigration was a real winner for them.
