I was talking to a Jewish chap recently that lives near there, hes practised Krav Maga at a high level for a long time and now out of necessity, is one that acts as security during services.

It's pretty common that congregants help out with security in the past. People of all ages standing by the entrance and in the street.

The prospect and threat now is a bit more daunting. They don't give anything other than a high-vis jacket and a button to press.

Yeah, they got some boots in to the head and still needed help from a civilian!

If it was USA, guns would be out and he'd have been shot. Our Police honestly look a bit pathetic when faced with a deadly threat.

That location is directly opposite the Kosher Kingdom supermarket.

I've been there a few times, it's one of the most comfortable bits of London to be a Jew in.

Doubt it.

He's on the floor refusing to give his hands having just stabbed people and still (from what I can see) in possession of the knife. Don't see any issue justifying that.

We're so fortunate we have UK police who'll take on someone like that with just a Taser and no firearm.

I'd argue they looked pretty brave and ballsy.

It's take a lot of courage to take on somebody armed with a knife whose shown a willingness to try and kill people armed with only spicy spray, batons and Tasers (which aren't always effective).

Great job by the response cops and the member of public who helped out.

They won't get any grief for that level of force. If anything I think they've shown a great level of professionalism and restraint.
