Is it? I haven t clicked as I don t want to see it. It is however a crap state of affairs we find ourselves living through
I haven't watched it either and my immediate thought echoed yours, what has this country become. Poor girl. Digger - why do you seem so indignant that such events are publicised; should we be kept in the dark what a dangerous country we live in?

Why did you feel the need to post this, & what are you hoping to achieve?
It's News, front page in the localPaper and the Manchester Evening News and very topical at the moment
Do you think we shouldn't be aware of it ?
Do you also think that the local newspapers shouldn't report it nor that I linked to the news report ?
Maybe we should all be blissfully unaware, would that make you happy ?
What other News wouldn't you want reporting, and why ?

Should every single stabbing that occurs & mentioned in local papers be posted in NP&E? Then you have your work cut out.
You only posted it as you had a graphic video to share . . .

It's also now on the BBC national news website
Does that mean you will now allow me to post it because it's no longer "local" news ?

This isn't a gang stabbing over some drug deal, this is a female child walking alone along a residential street in a small northern town, in the middle of the day, who it appears from reports in the press, was randomly attacked from behind by an adult male stranger who tried to kill her Should every single stabbing that occurs & mentioned in local papers be posted in NP&E? Then you have your work cut out.
And you think that isn't newsworthy and shouldn't be mentioned, really ?

Yeah, I'd say every stabbing of a random stranger in the street is likely to be posted on NP&E. They're unusual events. (Well less unusual than they used to be.)Should every single stabbing that occurs & mentioned in local papers be posted in NP&E? Then you have your work cut out.

Smacks of attention-seeking to be honest . . .

It is on the BBC & presumably other news outlets now . . . exactly where it should be - not a lone thread here started by yourself, with very graphic footage & absolutely no personal comment from you whatsoever.

My comments on the OP are clear and concise and report the known facts, and only those Smacks of attention-seeking to be honest . . .
I have not attached sentiment, nor personal opinion/comment for a very specific reason.
what I wrote was known facts without any gossip or embellishment
The adults in the room are quite capable of reading a news report and forming their own opinion and drawing their own inference from it
Unlike you, the only one on this thread expressing an opinion and trying to police it

People are free to start a thread on anything they choose to on an open forum. Who made you the arbiter of what's allowed and what isn't? I don't watch the news, as I prefer not to be misinformed. A post on here is often more accurate and more interesting.Smacks of attention-seeking to be honest . . .
Your problem with that is your own to deal with, do so in private, or in the Health matters forum.
