RIP. His bravery with a mic and a camera would put the likes of Beadle and Borat to shame.

To quote a timeless lyric which appropriately demonstrates the gravitas of the man;

"Someone call on Roger Cook, or the United Nations!"

A little known fact is he was also a director of Spyder Engineering - designers and fabricators of replacement Lotus Elan chassis', so it's apposite he gets a mention on this car forum

Same here. We could really do with him right now to investigate a whole host of people/organisations. It's no coincidence that the number of Turkish barbers and hand car washes have risen in a time without The Cook report.

I seem to recall thinking he'd get terminated by the IRA the way he went after them. Remarkable man. RIP.

He was a brave man and a good investigator too, shone the light on some nasty people without flinching.

I remember him pursuing John Palmer (Brinks Mat gold laundering/money laundering/timeshare fraud etc). That was brave given how Palmer operated.

Yes, those are the two people that I think of when Roger Cook's name crops up. What an odd thing to write.

Investigative reporter vs pranksters. Such a shame to get lumped in with them.
