Couldn't see a thread on this already.

I predict prison will be a painful place for the two of them.

I'd frankly be surprised if they make the first month.

I heard a bit of the history of injuries and contact the couple had with the authorities in the lead-up to this poor lads death.

Another "lessons will be learned" where so far it seems nobody has been held to any form of account.

Just appalling really.

I know plenty of traditional parents abuse their children but I'm against same sex couples adopting, full stop......it smacks of box ticking for diversity

We really ought to have the death penalty available when it's needed.

I’m not in favour of the death penalty but I would make an exception for this pair. I’m also not keen on prison justice, but again I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it if they didn’t last the first week.

I doubt it's box ticking given the number of children needing permanent homes exceeds the number of suitable adoptive parents

Far better to have a child with stable, loving same-sex couples than in the foster system. The evidence supports the outcomes are as good for the child.

I wouldn't let a couple of incomprehensibly evil people make you think otherwise.

I just hope none of the other inmates hurt their toes on this pair.

Absolutely sickening.

Also another poor child failed by the system, sounds like their were opportunities to save him from these sick freaks.

Two gay men should not be allowed to adopt children full stop.

Bring back the death penalty they deserve no mercy.

Scum.

Sorry, you don't think gay people are capable of caring for and loving a child ? I think your view are pretty disgusting. Are you also against gay teachers?

There are many many children with hopeless dual sex parents who need a better life.

The only ground I would concede to you is we should ask if things were overlooked because of diversity. This runs parallels to other issues in our society that appear to have been ignored

And another one.

These people are evil and committed the most heinous crime imaginable.

That doesn t mean the vast bast majority of same sex couples don t provide decent upbringings for children.

The death penalty is too easy for them I hope they suffer every day.

Do you have any figures for the success of gay vs hetero parents?

There seem to have been a lot of these cases recently eg Liam Fee

No, I am not against gay teachers ...or gay any profession.
I'm thinking of it from the child's perspective, how they will be bullied by other kids, how they might feel they are missing out by not having a mother like most of their friends will have (or father in the case of a lesbian couple)
If that's me being disgusting that's your view, what is disgusting is what these men did

What’s wrong with that ? It’s his opinion and one that I agree with. Too many opposite sex couples struggle to adopt.

Maybe the gender of the child and parents needs to considered? I'd imagine these 2 s only wished to adopt a boy. Would they have carried out the same barbarity on a girl? Or even given up on adoption completely if they were only allowed a girl?

Not looking to start any gender argument. It's just a thought...
