Couldn’t find the last topic to bump but it was only a few weeks ago.

Yet another, this time in the newly reduced 50 Section.
Looks like the epitome of horror stories; Driver under the influence, carload of passengers, one dead & two hospitalised.
They’ve had police speed cameras up on the bridge very frequently since the reduction in limit… Those letters in the post seem to have had precisely zero effect on the true problem with driving standards.

The cameras fail to stop drivers under the influence and probably with fake plates to avoid prosecution, what a surprise. https://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/26254299.a13-cras...

I use this stretch of road 6 days a week. It is a nightmare for atrocious driving. Normally Africans sitting in lane 3 then swerving across at the last second when they see an exit they like. I think Barking and Dagenham is the fastest growing area in London if not the UK in terms of new-builds so there's been a polulation explosion there.
I think there's a massive problem with the standards of those issuing driving licences, and with accepting international driving licences. Understanding and adhering to Lane Disciplne would make a difference.
Sympathies to those affected by the crash.

Are you suggesting a high percentage of African drivers do not have a UK License ?I think there's a massive problem with the standards of those issuing driving licences, and with accepting international driving licences. Understanding and adhering to Lane Disciplne would make a difference.

I'm up norf, and I would concur a lot of African drivers have started appearing and their standard is shocking. Its more being completely oblivious than anything devious or nefarious. Id rather have an accident with a slow driving oblivious car than a little scrote screaming his barryboy exhaust shizzbox, however

Pretty easy to spot them where we are, they're often black and (from what I can tell) wearing traditional African dress? Especially prevalent on Sundays when they head to church.
When not black, people usually specify north or south African.
It's really not a big deal.

No one who had ever driven regularly on the A13 between Wennington and Limehouse would question what he meant, it's like giving a load of tourists hire cars and they have no idea where they're going or what the rules are.
I drive around London all day and there's some absolute s
tty drivers out there, but they're mostly doing it deliberately because it's London and f
k you. That bit of the A13 has that and the added bonus of a load of clueless drivers who behave like it's their first time out on their own in a car and they've never seen traffic before.
