They’ve done it previously. Perhaps there are smarter (as in appearance) way of doing it, but it’s not offensive.

I wouldn’t be bothered if there was nothing there though. I don’t watch any football and kind of hate the LITERALLY EVERYONE is so excited vibe that comes with big football tournaments. To me it has no importance.

When Lineker recently interviewed Mamdani (NYC Mayor) he said it was nice to speak to a politician who is a real football fan, you could tell he was, especially surprising for an american.

Starmer is an Arsenal fan, so I hope it all comes from a genuine love of football and the England team, not just playing politics

Don't think it's appropriate.

We have a British government; those are England flags.

It reinforces the message that plenty of people in Wales, Scotland and N. Ireland hold - that Westminster is all about England and fk the rest of you.

Now, as an Englishman who got a huge amount of aggro when living in Scotland, up to and including being assaulted for being English, you'd think I wouldn't care.

But I'd rather not feed the chippy tts any more ammo to keep voting Plaid or SNP.

But I am in agreement you.

This is the seat of power in the UK and they've managed to make it look like a semi on a sink estate. They could have topped it off with a sofa, a Corsa on bricks and some dog st, if only they had more space at the front.

They could easily have done something similar but with some gravitas. The fact that they haven't is a metaphor for where our government is now.
