Concerning as I'm often walking through CC with my headphones on. May need to pay more attention.

Now I’m a touch confused.
4 blokes have been stabbed by a lass in Covent Garden, the area has been swarming with police, it’s busy, it’s a pain and advice given to avoid the area.

I have zero idea of the reasons behind it, nor did I provide any, nor hint at any. My, astonishingly brief and simple advice was, avoid the area, because well, you know…#CommonF’ingSense.
Fortunately I have a beer and am waiting for my train home, so the rest of you stay safe out there.

No, you said (along with the title of the thread)

‘Covent Garden, some bird has gone a bit Hatchet Harry on 4 blokes.

‘Some bird? Hatchet Harry’?

It's how proper hard northern men talk or something.

Beats me too.

Less of the regionalism, thank you.

Was this your tragedy, or a tragedy where you knew one of the victims?
Was it yours? Did you know anyone involved? Or just eager to tell everyone else what they should say and think?

Anyway just another shabby mentalist, best not to think or talk about it at all.

Avoid the area so as not to turn into rubberneck central and potentially interfere with evidence collection.

Not avoid the area because there might be further stabbings on the way, which appeared to be your take.

There would appear to be a massive overreaction to some attempts at humour on here.

Lighten up guys, don’t suck every last morsel of joy out of the world.

When I first saw the story before seeing PH I said to the other half (Astonless Annie ) that the woman was stabbing people with scissors, so must be an angry hairdresser- Astonless Annnie's trade. Her reaction was " I bet she's menopausal, the number of times I've wanted to kill you and other people in the past you would not believe!"

Not sure she was joking though

I like a joke, and I'm not adverse to black humour, but in this case the attempts at humour were (a) lame and (b) a little too early. Now we know that no-one has been killed, then perhaps the jokes may flow, however distasteful.

I agree with you.
Makes an (un)welcome change from the usual 'doctors / engineers' or 'promising footballer' or 'religion of peace' comments that tend to follow anything like this in a major UK city.

Still as bereft of comedic value though.

Is her nationality of particular significance?
