Met Police seize Ferrari SP2 for no insurance

Saw a few videos on social media yesterday about this, but difficult to find the actual details.

Other cars seized as well, and many of the charges sound potentially secondary to the intial stop. Just wondering how they know that a foreign registered Qatary car has no insruance?
I know that it's generally considered a flex in the ME for rich locals to fly their cars to London for the summer, and I guess a lot of them drive round in London with little care for repracussions due to the difficulties in tracing details of foreign cars. Seem hard to understand how the seizure of the Ferrari is enforceable unless there's more to it than is being let on!

The SP2, plus the owners LaF, Valkirie and some other bits have been at the Peninsular Hotel all summer. -= its saudi owned.
Over the weekend the MET did a nice operation where they stopped lots of nice cars with ANPR coming round hyde park corner and checked them all out.
