Terrible
A quote from the article -
"What makes this reckless behaviour even more appalling is that in some cases it is being done for social media likes regardless of the potentially devastating impact it might have on innocent people and themselves."
Concerning. They wouldn't normally make such a comment in the early stages of an investigation would they? "in some cases"?

Dreadful to see that the Police think this may have been deliberate for kicks, not the result of a mistake, drunken confusion or senility.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cwyqq52xkypo

An unusual comment to make. I wonder if this is a trend or the group had a history of doing this? I would presume drugs/alcohol must be involved. A quote from the article -

Wishing those in the other vehicle a quick recovery. A sad situation all around - 5 families losing their loved ones.

Five members of the traveller community aged 15/16 all dead in one car
Gangs of travellers go out from Dublin to commit burglary and steal cars in rural Ireland
If the Garda chase them they go on the m/way the wrong way knowing they can't be chased
Fortunately no innocents killed and hopefully the injured will make full recoveries

Salt of the earth.
You forgot the part about how they fetch their Granny's shopping each week too.Salt of the earth.
A tragic watse of 5 lives, I doubt the other cars participants will ever be the same again as well.
It doesn't sound particularly tragic to me.
What's tragic is if there's any life changing injuries to the victims.

Two critical and two, including the child, serious. Seems they were on their way to a wedding. Hopefully they all live and make good recoveries. It doesn't sound particularly tragic to me.
