Having spent hours and hours watching the trial I'm finding it as one of the most complex I've ever seen. A woman in distress from post psychosis that didn't get the help she needed in the appropriate way - or a woman who was having a bad day and killed her 3 kids. No matter what she's now paralyzed, childless and the only choices the jury have are to decide whether to send her to a mental institute or state jail (probably for life). And she seemed a very loving, professional person not so long ago.
Not seen much about her personally but my OH has been following it a bit. She seems to be on the side of the woman not getting the help she needed.
What I will say though is that my Insta feed must have overheard us talking about it because soon after, my feed was loaded with videos of crazy women screaming into their phones, throwing ice into bathtubs and waterboarding babies all in the name of demonstrating "postpartum depression".
Half of these lot in the videos need locking up themselves as they seem unhinged to the point of child cruelty

Yep lots of crazy women seizing on this case and going crazy online. Its the reaction that many are finding more bizarre than the case. If a soldier with PTSD killed his three children chances are there would be no such thing. As for the woman herself well if she is so criminally insane that she kills three children then she needs to be placed in a mental institution if she is not going to prison.

I mentioned about a soldier doing it to the women I'm sitting with and they all said "that's completely different" - really says a lot.
I feel she will be found not guilty, she is obviously unwell, she was obviously let down by her doctors, but I feel the defense is desperately finding psychiatric experts willing to manufacture new forensic theories that can satisfy all the facts in the case to her benefit, yes, she planned it because the voices in her head told her that her death, and the children's deaths would be their salvation, so she thought what she was doing was good, not bad.
People are missing the point by focussing on the details of that day, she seemed normal, even happy,
she sent the husband to a distant fast food place to garner more time alone with the children, yes,
that was the plan, the end game was 3 murders and a suicide .
