Nepal disaster
Discussion
I can't seem to find the thread on this unless it doesn't exist
This is the most horrifying natural disaster I have ever seen, I don't know where to start. I have seen some horrifying videos on Instagram of corpses and multiple angles of a flood with billions of tons of water and debris obliterating villages and towns.
I have a question for the members on here who are well-versed in this topic.
I the before clips/images, there is what looks like a drained river, there doesn't even appear to be a stream. Why was it not anticipated, and if it is normal, how else does the river start to flow?
I am not an expert at all however if I lived on a slope of a mountain and a river just dried up, I'd wonder where all that water is and consider it being blocked 100 miles up a mountain, ready to blow.
Forgive my ignorance in advance
