Only a small area of Germany, but indicative of the country in general, as the far right gain many votes.

The fact that this stupid thread is called the Fourth Reich tells you all you need to know about the idiots who debate race, immigration and anything even slightly to the Right. Every single debate ends up being a w
k fest in proving how unracist you are.
Europe is waking up to the absolutely terrible immigration problems it has caused. This is excellent news and the correct course. As the Wet German political establishment has in the past done everything possible to freeze out AFD by refusing to work with them in anyway is now manifesting itself into a hopefully landslide where the AFD can form a Government without any leftish partners. It’s so beautiful to watch.

Now also fuelled by Russia and no doubt soon to be the US. A little bothersome that the supposed answer to this in this case has Russia all the way up its anus.
There could be a link to make in there somewhere.
Seems like the logical result of the ridiculous policies coming out of Germany. If people are shocked then maybe listening to people's views would be a good place to start. The problem is when someone says "immigrants took my job" we get into a weird debate about wether they did or didn't and then proving that they didn't, however the view that someone has lost their job seems to be totally forgotten. Right or wrong immigration is easy to blame and factually carries some of the responsibility for the squeeze on society.
I'd bet though that if there was an abundance of jobs and rising living standards with low cost of living the. Nobody would give two dogs what the immigration numbers are. Debating wether it's russian propaganda is just a nonsense response, if you haven't lost your job then propaganda about who is responsible for your job loss seems quite daft.
Basically wake up to the real problems, do something about it quickly or right or wrong you'll get fringe parties being elected.

Most governments are only of (vague) use to old people and shareholders these days, but I wonder if a genuinely competent operation would be able to communicate it effectively to a population any more considering the information blizzard out there. bloomen said:
Merz's approval rate has dipped below 15% which must be some type of world record.
Germany clearly wants better government and Russia is willing to give it to them.
I’m not too sure his approval rating *started* much above 15% to begin with!Germany clearly wants better government and Russia is willing to give it to them.
A/the popular choice Merz was not.
I go to Germany a lot, normally they are very apologetic about the past, tediously so sometimes, especially when you get a drink in them but over the past 3 years something has changed. There is talk I've not heard in 20 years visiting and I go about 8 times a year for work.
A very reserved people are starting to openly talk about things and this is not East Germany but southern towns.
4th reich in the title is a bit cringe but the anger I've personally seen over immigration is very real.

Yet the likes of reform, RFD et al are doing great in the polls. I guess this RFD victory might wake them up.

Meh. East Germany. Least educated, lowest earners, most offended. Pretty much the german equivalent of brexiteers here.
Least educated? You wrote this:Blue_star said:
You have made your opinion what you THINK wealth proponents WOULD want and are ignoring everything people actually write and the reasons why we actually advocate for wealth tax.
You are having an argument with an imaginary person, consistently arguing that someone want to make the rich poorer as opposed to tackling the issues brought forward .
Economic growth and lower taxation are fantastic but not solving the issues scooter raised with you. May be assist a little bit till the next turn. But to tackle difficulty getting on housing ladder, low birth rates, high education cost and the fact that young people are squeezed more than any point in living memory, we need to have policies that directly tackle these issues.

I wonder how that has been affected by 7-9 million net migration since 1997?
Maybe Brexiteers are a bit more educated than some people here?

So it's 'educated' people that want to swamp their society with illiterate third-worlders?It's like living at somewhere like Castle Howard and then inviting council estate chavs to fill the rooms you're not using.
The chavs wont change their behaviour as soon as they move in, just because there are chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and proper artwork hanging on the walls.
No. Within a few weeks, the lawns would be churned up by quad bikes, half-dismantled cars left in the driveway and a manky sofa dumped on the front verandah with gangsta rap blaring out.

I’m not liking the pro-Russia aspects though.
