Hackers claim to have stolen details of all of the FBI's agents.

"The group, Shiny Hunters, says it has every agent's name, role, badge number and personal details including home address, phone numbers and spouse information."

A total disaster for the US and its allies if it turns out to be true!
It could certainly cost many lives..

It is probably, in reality not trackable - particularly after the event.
Even with decent logs, the closest they might get would be someone who isn't involved, but happened to be running something like a tor node whilst watching some sort of special interest movie.

Lesson: Don't put possibly life critical stuff on other people's servers.

Luckily they have someone really competent running the FBI these days. Someone with decades of experience, who shuns the limelight and instead just works hard and gets the job done. I'm sure they'll deal with this competently.

Because he's been so successful thus far... I don't think they're worried at all.

This is the end result of DOGE and the gutting of talent out of the US govt in favour of Trump Loyalists. Whoda thunk that replacing people who knew what they were doing with Kash Patel's lackeys would result in a huge security breach.

Yea OPM hack lost details of all the security cleared people there in all agencies.

Wasn’t a threat of spreading it all over the internet that time. Could end very badly with family details and all sorts in there.

The security hole was in an Oracle product, nothing to do with the FBI per-se.
