Good grief, just tuned in to catch headlines on Sky - they are devoting the WHOLE DAY to the Goody funeral. Fill yer boots chaps, it'll be car crash viewing I reckon.

Aaargh, just noticed the flowers on the rear of the hearse are a Marmite Pot......

Just goes to show that SKY is not a news network, Clifford must have done a top deal for them to cover this all day on what is supposed to be a news channel. It is a bit like those adverts you get in the papers that pretend to be a news article, and right at the bottom it reads 'advertisement'.

We all know the debate, this is news in the sense that it can be expected to be reported as part of a news round up, but 10.00 - 14.00 non stop coverage as if it was a major event on a par with Diana?

WTF has happened to news in the UK?

According to the BBC website "wellwishers are throwing flowers onto the hearse as it passes". Wakes you want to vomit.

You can't wish a funeral procession to crash. Disgusting.

I KNEW it! I even posted in another thread that they would be doing this.

I have calculated that if JG deserves this sort of coverage, then every ordinary person that dies in the UK today should get at least 11 minutes of individual coverage on SKY. And that is making an allowance for them just being ordinary, and not celebs.

Would make me vomit less if there was a team of street sweepers behind using a leaf suckerupperer sucking all the flowers up that fell on the floor

You are joking aren't you? When the statue is put up, we will have this once a year on her anniversary. SKY news will broadcast live coverage of the mourners laying 'reefs', and we will all be urged to have a minutes gobbiness.

I caught a few moments of this on the 'news' this morning.

We are truly fooked if news organisations consider this worthy of camera crews and journalists covering it.

Local MP "she always kept in touch with her roots"

Reporter in ponderous tone "there's even a jar of Marmite left as a touching tribute to someone who effected all our lives...."

WTF???

Sad she's gone - young mother etc. But this is NOT news.

Unbelievable, and the stupid bugger would have been alive if see wasn't so daft as to ignore abnormal smear test results.
