What's going on? There seem to be eaurthquakes and volcanoes all over the shop - that's going to bugger up our CO2 targets.

But seriously, does anyone think we are due a major event, possibly in Yellowstone?

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and...

The Times said:
Hundreds of earthquakes have hit Yellowstone National Park, raising fears of a more powerful volcanic eruption.

The earthquake swarm, the biggest in more than 20 years, is being closely monitored by scientists and emergency authorities.

The series of small quakes included three last Friday which measured stronger than magnitude 3.0. The strongest since this latest swarm of quakes began on December 27 was 3.9.

No damage has yet been reported but scientists say this level of activity - there have been more than 500 tremors in the last week - is highly unusual.

WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE...

what we should do is send all the greenies to yellowstone, show them some pics and how nice it is and they would love being there...then watch as they all get blown to pieces by one of the largest volcanic eruptions ever...

I know there was a big earthquake in Italy today. However, those articles are 3 months old. Have we heard more since?

Arseburgers - it was all linked to the Italian earthquake story, so I assumed it was all current news...

In the scheme of things, especially related to Earth movements I'd have said that really close together time wise. 3 months is a lot of time to humans but not the planet. I don't believe I've ever heard of a quake in Italy before.

Well it's got two volcanoes, so it's hardly geologically inactive.

I remember a video of a church in Italy during an earth quake, the roof caved in killing several people
