SO why has the pound tanked so badly against the Euro and Not recovered?

ALL our dirty laundry has been aired so to speak, we aren't likely to get many more financial shocks, and our unemployment record isn't forecast to be too horrific.

In contrast the Eurozone looks totally Fubarred- Ireland, Spain, Germany and France are utterly stuffed- and its only just coming to light

surely the pound should be strengthening significantly?

There has been pound strength over the past couple of weeks with EUR GBP dropping from 95 to around 90.5 today. Our dirty linen is out there but I think there is still a dim view being taken of the various bank bailouts that we have committed to; quantitative easing by the BoE - and no one still knows how bad things are going to get for us from here even though the outlook for the Euro zone has been maybe more in the news recently
