I don't remember the Tories being any less green.

I do remember David Cameron suggesting putting a huge tax on flights because of their C02 emissions. He's even more left than Labour on their green policies from what he comes across.

This is a man who cycles to work lets not forget. fking peasant.

Quite......a response from my MP (Andrew Lansley)

"The Con party is passionate about tackling Climate Change and has adopted many key proposals which aim to prevent increased degredation of the environment

As per the Con party consultation paper 'The Low Carbon Economy' we propose to re-build the UK economy on the back of new hi tech green industries, intelligent energy generation and transport and energy efficiency in our homes, schools and businesses.

We would contribute towards the creation of a national carbon capture and storage infrastructure allowing energy comapnies to plug in new CCS power stations and making the UK a world leader in developing this new technology.

The Cons are still committed to increasing the proportion of tax revenues raised through green taxes. We have set out a range of green policies, including our Airline Pollution Tax.

G Brown has given green taxes a bad name, using them as stealth taxes. We have pledged that every additional penny raised through green taxes will be put into a family fund to cut taxes everywhere"

So, more of the same lunacy albeit up front. How they can increase green taxes to be fed directly into a 'family fund' to tackle MMGW and reduce 'other' taxes while still paying the bills is a mystery to me, but I may be just a simpleton......a simpleton who will not be voting for Labour or the Torys

True...but its Labour thats in power now...so easy targets wink

Plus, its Labour's absolutely nonsensical, and ridiculous green ideas that are wasting our money.
