Central Office appear to have called Anthony Steen this morning:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8062786.stm

'he said critics of his expenses claims were simply "jealous" of his country house.'

Fed up paying for it more like.

'During the interview, the 69-year-old former barrister claimed ministers had "mucked up the system" by introducing the Freedom of Information Act.

He added: "What right does the public have to interfere with my private life? None." '

A simple over-reaction.

hehe

Sounds about right, but didn't B'stard switch to New Labour? Most of them are pretty much interchangeable, as the current st-storm is demonstrating.
