Mods, not sure if this is the right forum area, maybe boatplanestrains.

Looks like there are some fatalities frown

Aug. 8 (Bloomberg) -- A tourist helicopter and a small plane collided and crashed into the Hudson River between New York City and Hoboken, New Jersey, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

Coast Guard spokesman David Schuhlein didn’t have any information on how many passengers were aboard either aircraft. The Coast Guard has as many as four vessels on the scene, being assisted by the New York Police Department and New York Fire Department, he said. Schuhlein said one person had been rescued and one body recovered.

NYPD divers are recovering bodies at this moment; grim sight. The chopper has been lifted, the plane is yet to be spotted.

No more than normal for GA.

Just because there have been a few large ones down this year. Although only one major one, Air France.
