whatever we do to lessen car pollutants will make no difference as the increase in car usage in china / india will nullify any effects in about 10 mins ffs.

+ according to times article yesterday transport has practically no effect on global warming!

The recession has been the most effective reducer of transport-based emissions! Bring it on! Surely this isn't another way of plugging the massive defecit? What about a fart tax .. to curb consumption of 'rich' foods
