Interracial marriages, round 2.

So, let me get this straight.
If a white person says interracial marriage is wrong (to simplify the argument), they are wrong and racist.
But if an ethnic minority says interracial marriage is wrong, its ok.
Racism double standards at work.

No, they're both equally wrong. So, let me get this straight.

As is obvious to any right minded person.
Having dug up an obscure US news article as a source, your point is?

You've also split the issue into White vs Everyone Else (or 'ethnic minority' as you describe).
There are plenty of people who would disagree with this Native American dude and the White dude from the other article, who are neither White or Native American. If you get my drift.
It's sad to see yet another attempt at obfuscating a very complex issue into "racism against whites" when the man in the article is obviously so racist that he married his white child hood sweetheart, despite knowing the affect it would have on his relationship with his father. Hardly Nick Griffin marrying Diane Abbott now is it?There are plenty of people who would disagree with this Native American dude and the White dude from the other article, who are neither White or Native American. If you get my drift.
I read it as being about ancient land rights, the struggle to maintain ancient tribal ancestory, land rights and history mixing with the modern world, and corruption within certain tribes. Given the history between Native Americans and their European visitors, it is not unsurprising that Native Americans are proud of their heritage.
Taking Wiki's definition of racism, I don't see that it applies in this case:
Although the term racism usually denotes race-based prejudice, violence, discrimination, or oppression, the term can also have varying and contested definitions. Racialism is a related term, sometimes intended to avoid these negative meanings. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, racism is a belief or ideology that all members of each racial group possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially to distinguish it as being either superior or inferior to another racial group or racial groups.
The Merriam-Webster's Dictionary defines racism as a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority or inferiority of a particular racial group, and that it is also the prejudice based on such a belief. The Macquarie Dictionary defines racism as: "the belief that human races have distinctive characteristics which determine their respective cultures, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule or dominate others."

There is a US Bureau of Indian Affairs.. haha. Nothing like a bit of healthy segregation.
From their website, which I can only believe is the equivalent of our BNP
Indian Affairs (IA) is the oldest bureau of the United States Department of the Interior. Established in 1824, IA currently provides services (directly or through contracts, grants, or compacts) to approximately 1.9 million American Indians and Alaska Natives. There are 564 federally recognized American Indian tribes and Alaska Natives in the United States. Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is responsible for the administration and management of 55 million surface acres and 57 million acres of subsurface minerals estates held in trust by the United States for American Indian, Indian tribes, and Alaska Natives. Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) provides education services to approximately 42,000 Indian students. BIA and BIE’s missions are:
The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) mission is to:
"… enhance the quality of life, to promote economic opportunity, and to carry out the responsibility to protect and improve the trust assets of American Indians, Indian tribes, and Alaska Natives."
The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) mission is to:
"… provide quality education opportunities from early childhood through life in accordance with the tribes’ needs to cultural and economic well being in keeping with the wide diversity of Indian tribes and Alaska Native villages as distinct cultural and governmental entities. The Bureau considers the whole person (spiritual, mental, physical and cultural aspects.)"
I suppose the nearest equivalent story in Surrey would be this ...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/surrey/8346478....
.. then again i suppose some Grey Squirrels would complain that they are being treated unfairly

"More than 220 people have joined a Facebook page in the animal's memory since its demise last week. "
Bless
I was on a reservation back in July. Went to the tribal museum to see history written by themselves. Very interesting.
There were plenty of beautiful dioramas depicting the idyllic life they led over the aeons before the white man can to screw it up. Every squaw depicted looked as though they sprang from the pages of Playboy or the like. Georgeous!
Toward the end there were photographs of the present day tribe members. For some reason most of them seem to have evolved far faster than the rest of the human race, or else have taken to perming their hair. There were a couple lovely blondes as well...
They have their own legal system, and enormous casinos as well. It is an incredible operation!

I can see where the OP is coming from. it is racist. But not the same as say a white American and white African American insisting their child marries either white or black due to hypocrisy.
This is more like a Chinese Panda doing it with a Canadian Grizzly and then insisting his offspring sticks to Pandas
Native Americans are more or less endangered species so I can see where the dad was coming from.
