Well the banks get to keep on shafting us
Discussion
High street banks have won their appeal at the Supreme Court over unauthorised overdraft charges.
The Supreme Court ruled in favour of the seven major banks and a building society, which had challenged High Court and Court of Appeal decisions that the charges were unfair and should be subject to regulation by the Office of Fair Trading.

I also see no issue.
The fees have never been unlawful. They have been laid out in black and white in the T&Cs. Steep yes, but not unlawful and no great mystery.
But as is the way, the millions of mongs in this country who habitually can't manage their money and keep going OVER they overdrafts feel the need to cry and bleat that they are being violated, expecting their money back.
Their inability to manage their money so their problem. As much as I hate the banks this is a win for common sense IMO.
Stangely enough I live within my means, spend only what I can afford to spend and check my accounts online daily. Funnily enough I've never paid one single charge. Strange that, but seemingly a novel concept for some...

Simple answer. Manage your money and leave a cushion just incase.
The whole concept that an overdraft is something that is lived in on a monthly basis and maxed out to the limit by far to many on a regular basis is half the frigging problem...
You know the consequences. If you don't like them make sure you don't incur them.
I think £120 to come and remove a clamp is extortionate, but there is a simple answer. Don't park there...
This whole concept that banks are here to serve us out of goodwill, put up with peoples utter inability to manage their money and provide services beyond what they are contracted to do free of charge is simply mad.

Hardly a fair and competitive environment though is it when they all decide to charge over the odds in a cartel fashion and you've no where else to go....The whole concept that an overdraft is something that is lived in on a monthly basis and maxed out to the limit by far to many on a regular basis is half the frigging problem...
