Too much red tape over here? We don't just let the workers sleep in the tower at night so I guess that adds to the cost in the UK.

£~120/Month minimum wage for unskilled labourers, £~170 for a mason/plumber/scaffolder £~281 for a foreman and £297 for highly skilled crane operators/HGV, etc.

No Unions and no breaks in construction? I can't help but think of stuff like this when I'm admiring great Imperial era British buildings. 60-98 people are believed to have died and hundereds were injured building the Forth Rail Bridge by 1890.
