Today at Prime Ministers question time David Cameron accused the PM of false information saying the UK was the last G7 or even G20 country still in recession.

To which Chairman Brown said that was not right, according to him Spain are still in recession and "they are a G20 country".

No they're not Gordo, you thick xxxx.

Just to add, Brown has been (is still?) the current Chairman of the G20. He should know who's in it.

It'll be interesting to see if the Brown Broadcasting Corporation reports it.

That comment about inheritance tax is ridiculous aswell! "Drawn up on the playing fields of Eton". How many times can the idiot use that comment? I'm pretty sure the majority of the public would welcome a change in the inheritance tax.

He really isn't intelligent enough to debate issues on TV.

Saying that, I never thought Blair was particularly good either. In fairness, I don't think CMD is the best, Hague was far better.

I'm surprised that Cameron hasn’t pointed out that the last public school educated Conservative PM was back in the early 1960's, yet the last public school educated Labour PM was back in 2007 hehe

Or maybe he believes that it doesn’t actually matter which school an MP went to, as long as they have the moral fibre to do the right thing

Why doesn't Cameroon point out that it's only millionaires who WILL pay inheritance tax, not benefit from the proposal? It's all the rest of us who benefit when old Granny with the modest semi in Neasden, say, and a few thou in savings, pops off. The Eton mob with multi-millions in their estates will be still coughing up 40% (?)

What really annoyed me is the way Brown the Clown didn't answer any questions which were "inconvenient" at all, he just started ranting about NuLabs so-called "achievements" or how the Tories are wrong... no answers.
I'm surprised no one complained to the Speaker (a Labour toady) to complain about the non-answering of questions and poor ranting and grandstanding by Brown the Clown

I have come to the conclusion that the whole stinking lot are, at the very best, second rate – whereas once upon a time (one would like to think), policies were made for the good of the people and country as a whole. What we seem to have no, are policies made either to simply spite the opposition, or made based on very narrow minded and outdated pretend prejudices.
I am quite certain that none of them are working for my behalf – they are all weak, both in mind and morals, and in a perfect world, they have no place sitting where they are and spouting the utter garbage that get translated into laws.
Hell, they can’t even capitalise on their opponents’ mistakes, for fear of being found wanting themselves – it’s like the last days of the corrupt Roman republic.

It is funny that Brown always fails to mention his own privileged education and upbringing...

It obviously wasn't privileged enough in his own eyes, hence he has a chip on the shoulder about it (amongst many other chips).

Eh? He's the son of a Church of Scotland minister who went to Kircaldy High School. He was academically gifted enough to be accepted into university at the age of 16 but his upbringing is hardly "privileged". I've got no truck whatsoever for Winky but his background as a preachers son educated at the local comp can hardly be compared in privilege to that of the Eton educated relative to the Queen sitting smarmily on the benches opposite.

Who cares who went to what school, I cant comment for anybody else, but I know I didnt get a choice where I went.

The odd thing about winky's class war / shoulder chip is that the last boarding school then Oxbridge educated PM was Tony Blair! Yet the last Conservative Boarder/Oxbridge grad was Alec Douglas-Home and that was forty six years ago for fks sake.

I was merely responding to Jesus's assertion that Brown had a privileged upbringing, which he didn't.

sorry didnt mean it to come over as it may have done smile

The odd thing with Browns upbringing is that whilst he may not have been fortunate in the way that Cameron was, by the standards of the locality he was born and grew up in, he was privileged. Maybe it’s just yet another thing he needs to talk to a shrink about.

I know plenty of people who boarded and would have benefited far more by going to the local grammar school, so can see both sides of the argument. Would be interesting to see how he’d view the Duke of Westminster’s children as whilst they obviously have had a privileged upbringing, they didn’t board ( I used to chat to his wife when she was picking her daughter up and I was picking up my younger brother) an by all accounts had a relatively normal childhood (being shadowed by security etc aside)
