Is anybody else watching?

This is hillarious. 1970's back drop, shaky camera, faulty microphone and Winky for the love of god cannot speak properly, he is mumbling all over the place, really really badly.

Campbell and Mandy must be packing there belongings up in the number 10 bunker as we speak hehe

Glad the 'efficiency savings' will save us though, nice one winky!

The propaganda machine is in overdrive now, on R4 this morning they were bigging him and the conference up saying the population was behind him and some fleeting mention of 'hackers' I'd had enough and switched to LBC with N Ferrari, the difference was astonishing, every single call was calling it a con

I am sure the quest for effieceny will involve 28 different forms filled out in triplelict to be vetted by 47 new people before being considered by the new standards committee before you can get a pen from the stationary cupboard.

All the idiot cares about is his own Skin.

He ballooned the public sector, spunked the whole countries wealth away, ran a massive deficit up.

How he is saying 'the days of control from whitehall are over, power is going back to the people'' All he cares about is retaining power.

So now he is going to slash public services after years of waste at OUR EXPENSE and despair as labour poked its nose into every part our lives, now giving us control back??? eh?? (if that can be believed)

The mans a total idiot. The way he sits and grins whenever someone asks him a question he doesnt like, where is Lee Harvey Oswald when one needs him?

I find all this very peculiar from the Labour Party. They were the ones who presided over the era of wastefulness and massive explosion in the public sector, and now it seems ever other week they're pulling more "savings" out of the hat.

Gordon, if you're so good at making things run efficiently, why the need for all these cuts now?

Why are Tim Berners-Lee and Martha Lane Fox seen as "web visionaries" ?

900,000 extra public service jobs since 1997. That's one hell of a redundancy bill...

...and don't forget the very expensive pensions. Labour's overspending will hold the UK back for generations.

It would be cheaper to mobilise them into doing useful jobs - for a start quite a few potholes round my area need fixing [cue: how many civil servants does it take ... ?]

This will be the same person who was telling us that public spending (ie taxation and debt, which sounds a hell of a lot worse) would continue to rise at 2.2% back in April, that it was Labour Investment vs Tories cuts?

fk off and fking die, you loathesome failure of a human being. Why didn't you realise when you couldn't even get through a game of rugby without being blinded that you were destined to be an abject failure at whatever you turned your spacky jowl towards. fk YOU WINKY!!

(I have just about hit my limit with the hypocrisy of the and the incessant CO2/Polar Bear/NoHopenhagen bullst that is being spun at 10,000 rpm at the moment).

In Tim Berners-Lee's case, I would suspect that inventing it might have something to do with it.

Because some halfwits had to explain to him that the Web has only just become mature enough for these initiatives to be implemented. Under no circumstances could these have been delivered any earlier. In fairness, we are lucky to have GB as our top man else we may have missed this opportunity altogether...

Now how exactly did LM.com make all their money, oh yeah, investing in PORN. Has anyone told Harriet Harmann....

Point being, the web he invented is only very loosely related to the web we have today..

Just don't type "Google" into Google. You'll bring the whole Internet down smile

Labour... cuts? Wasn't it the Tories who were doing all the cuts in the '80s? How... modern.

Only because it's taken so long for the rest of the world to catch up with him. Remember in 1995 when Windows 95 was soon to be launched . . . even Bill gates said the Internet was a fad that would fade away . . . and he din't plan to include a web browser or an IP stack.

A few months later it had both and was released . . . He was a visionary along with the others at the time.
