My mum is a volunteer for a Charity and they estimate the every year over £900,000 of donated stock is stolen, bearing in mind this it the 'donated stock value' and doesn't take into account the money it could have fetched had it been paid for...

a lot of those so-called 'charity' donations bins are a scam anyway

dodgy company pays a charity a sum to use their name on the bin, company sells clothes to Africa

It's never donated to the needy in Africa, its sold in a chain of stores called Dap.

My MIL shops there...

The charity bins stuff is normaly converted into high class paper apparently.

I've had a few cases like this and have even been to one where the person was trapped...

He had been stuck upside down for a good few hours...

In interview he I think claimed that he had somehow dropped his wallet in when making a donation. Maybe he was telling the truth.....
