Im sure some of you remember the explosion, or possibly even heard it.
There was a thread on PH at the time, although I cant find it.

Apparently the Jury is out to consider the verdict.

I would guess that, because the fireworks were contained illegally and unsafely, the fireworks owners are going to be found guilty over the deaths.

Anyone willing to hazard a guess as to the likely length of the sentence? I wonder how long it will take jurors to decide.

I know that Los was being funny but many a true word said in jest. I would not be surprised to hear them found Not Guilty.

Certainly it is rumoured that the owners of the factory are not nice people to deal with but they appear to have thrown enough mud at the Fire Brigade.

Rumour is a nasty thing. Mainly as it's often wrong. Which it is in this case.

Do you know them personally, per chance?

Guess it depends on the circumstances of meeting them!

I've had many dealings with Festival and Alpha Fireworks.

I know them too. But would have to second Chrisgr31's comment. Dealings with them left me feeling nailed to the wall, going round and round in circles...

3 minute video of the fire on this page here
I could be wrong, but I believe the chap holding the camera may have been one of the unfortunates who lost his life.

This is the video of the explosion, from 7 miles away.

Given that the on-site video was taken by fire crew, its unlikely footage of the up-close explosion will be released...
