Everytime i put on the friggin' TV, open a magazine supplement, log onto a website i'm seeing crap about the whole global warming debate. I even get a load of nonsense at the bottom of my e-mails telling me not to print it out, otherwise hooded men will come round, blindfold me and put me up against a wall.

Now before we go on i recycle my rubbish, use energy saving light bulbs, not because i want to save the planet but because i dont think waste is a good thing anyway, plus i'm a tight git and rather spend my savings on beer and fat juicy T-bone steaks.

It looks like the vocal minority of tree swinging, lentil munching, Guardian reading, Protest-at-anything green brigade are finally getting their way and swaying goverments who are bribing scientists.

True, the net is awash with conflicting evidence on this whole issue and you believe what you choose to believe. But for me personally i think its a load of idiotic propoganda off green groups and goverment departments who fund some of the scientists to publically tell the world how very bad we are and how we should all 'do our bit to reduce our carboon footprint' For Gods sake give me a break.

Today i read a piece in the paper on how we should all stop eating meat as we are contributing to killing the world.

I ask myself when will it end? These idiotic protesters who are normally public sector workers when inbetween protests wont be happy until we are all living in caves or mud huts without electric or running water and our only choice of transporation will be the bicycle. Every supermarket will close due to deliveries being barred and meat being outlawed and we'll be forced into growing all our own crops in the space where we invited friends and had barbecues.

I genuinly feel that this is the biggest coverup of all time and we'll end up copping for it in extra massive taxtation if we choose to enjoy anything that is remotely bad for us.

It is just an excuse to tax us some more in this already overtaxed bankrupt country.

Are the public being brainwashed into becoming a car hating society through goverment prpoganda? in ten years will people tut, shake their heads or spit at me when i drive a V6 petrol car through town? - thats if all petrol cars haven't been confined to a museum through being outlawed in goverment regulation passed through the house of lords at 10 o'clock at night.

I suspect that most of the British public quietly air their discontent when watching the news or have a good moan whilst having a pint with their mates. yet the real people who are going to make changes for the bad of the UK are the same bile filled car hating vocal minority who are not happy unless they are protesting at something. Now finally it looks like they have the goverment on their side and anything not considered green will be met upon with upmost contempt and taxation, Performance cars will end up being confined to the museum.

And on that note i bid you farewell for the evening.

I will go out and get blind drunk, i might even eat a kebab and fart into the atmospehere just for good measure and if i'm feeling really brave set light to an old tyre that i have just to be awkward. Thats if i dont get arrested and put to death by the Gestapo.

I was thinking the same walking through Trafalgar Sq in London last night - some dirty hippies started camping there! In one of the most famous, beautiful and photographed place in London! And of course police will do nothing.
Try to just park your car for few seconds on one of the streets surrounding it and it will be removed within minutes, start a camp with tents, fire, massive posters etc and everyone will be to afraid to say a word.

Absolutely fking mental!!!

P.S. Just a V6???? Come on, you have to try harder! smile

Saw some grannie hippes in Thame this afternoon. They had a big banner saying "CO2 Pen Hagen". Very clever of them.

Anyway, they were standing there getting cold and I saw nobody go and chat with them. I'm sure they are now in a nearby pub warming themselves by the open fire... which of course is creating pollution rolleyes

On a more positive note I think that we will be allowed to continue to drive our full fat motors ( mine's also a V8 ). The reason is that there is a need for tax revenue and it is well known that tax take is optimised at a certain level, increase the tax level above this and your tax take drops so what do they tax instead to make up this shortfall?
Just remember that global warming is all about money and political expediency.
Cheer up the inland revenue needs our petrol hungry motors.

I know exactly what you mean. I was thinking the same thing earlier this week. The Copenhagen bullst fest is the straw that broke the camel's back. I am considering getting a RR Sport despite hating the look of all 4x4s. I won't drive it. I'll just leave it on my drive to annoy passers-by. Actually, I lie. I think the Defender is so cool. I might get a V8 Defender instead. But it isn't just this, it's every aspect of life from how many pints I can drink to whether I can babysit a friend's children. It's gone too far.

Roll on, tonight. Gonna get myself a big, juicy, meat-filled burger. I might even have two. And some bacon for good measure. lick

Y'know in this country if you work hard and are successful it is resented by a certain typee of person in this country and thats before you get shafted in taxation and red tape goverment legislation.

Can anyone blame anyone for wanting to emmigrate and not invest anymore? Because you just get shat upon from the people who try and promote entrepreneaurship.

I remember seeing this in Arena magazine a while back:

"Now I'm as much concerned about the environment as the next man in the street; I recycle, I switch off all my lights, I even cried at that scene with the Polar Bear on the Ice in Planet Earth, but do you know what really, and I mean REALLY, pisses me off?!

Patronising e-mail signatures' "Do you really need to print this e-mail?" Yes. Yes I do. I need to print it, roll it up into a miniature Millwall Brick, come round to your solar-powered office and smash your fking Brompton folding bike to pieces, shortly before snatching up your lifetime M&S bag, smashing the window (to let the warm air out) and parachuting to safety. I may even use two cans of Lynx as thrusters to slow my decent. fking corporate hippies..."

Driver of a 7.2 litre Challenger and Dodge Ram 5.7 hemi here.
I'm afraid it's hitting these shores also.
The brainwashing is so strong there is often conflicts amongst folks that are naturally aligned towards cars and are petrolheads.

Guy at work has an old BMW motocycle and old Ford Taurus but gets on at me that I shouldnt really waste time money and effort on a material possession such as my Challenger. He's a good bloke and you can tell he liked cars, he works on them for fun, but the brainwashing is too strong. He starts going on about how electric cars are the future in america (despite the collosal size of the country and distances involved) Then he'll start to degenerate to how much he HATES his car. You reason with him and introduce the possiblities that there's alot of spin in the crap churned out and not to focus on tail pipe emissions alone -he processes it but then degenerates back to his implanted tree-hugging stance.

Its quite sad to see.

It's all part of 'The Hidden Agenda' !!!!!

Sun Cream manufacturers (who are all owned by David Ike and his Lizard creature friends) are behind all of this !
The Lizards will all bask in the increased Suns warmth as we make them all rich by buying massive amounts of suncream to stop us all frying to death!

Believe Me, i heard it somewhere!...it's called The Green Lizard Issue, they just dropped the Lizard thing so us humans wouldn't realise it was a load of Bcensoredks.

ps, the fact is we are at the dawn of a new iceage!!!, the revenue that is being extorted out of us humans in the form of 'Green' taxes is all in aid of a new massive Magnifying lens that the the Lizards are Building in the Earths outer orbit, to enhance the power of the suns rays!!! therefore leading us to think the world is heating up! and allowing the Survival of the Lizard race!

Damn right. This green bks is turning me red! Too much talk of 'global warming', melting ice caps and farting cows. The facts are being ignored in my opinion. Its so obvious that its just another money maker for the government with thier green taxes etc. Stick your energy saving light bulbs up your ass Mr Brown, that way maybe you will find something of interest while your head is up there.

Fact 1. Yes the Arctic ice is melting, but the Antarctic ice is actually growing. A sure sign that the world is just going through a natural cycle.

Fact 2. 2000 - 2010 has allegedly been the warmest decade on record. And 2009 the warmest year in that decade. 2009 is actually one of the coolest years we have had for a while (met office verified). Remember the snow in Feb and March! People just believe it because its on tv. Also, the 'records' are only 180 years old. The world is just a bit older than that! Like a fart in a hurricane.

Fact 3. Cars dont actually pollute the air that much. In some parts of the country / world the air going into the inlet of. for example, a 911T, is actually dirtier than the air coming out of the exhaust (cats). Yes there are some other chemicals in there too but the plants absorb 99% of that.

Fact 4. The UK is already Green! We are surrounded by sea, which is the biggest recycler of CO2 and other gasses known to man. The country is also very rich in plant life with woods, forests and miles of green farm land. Add the fact that we are beside western Europe which is also mainly green land and you see that we really dont have to worry.

Fact 4. The UK was dirtier 50 - 100 years ago with the industrial revolution in full swing. london was thick with smog etc. How can we be dirtier now with catalytic converters on chimneys, cars and power stations?

Fact 5. A couple of hundred years ago, before cars and IC engines the UK was basking in a mediteranean climate, with Orange groves, olives and any other sunshine fruit you can imagine. I bet they didnt blame global warming then!!

Fact 6. A couple of hundred years before that we were freezing our asses off in basically the same climate we are in now. and so the cycle goes on. - On countryfile the other day they were actually investigating fossilised palm trees on the dorset coast, the type that are now currently found in Africa. So there too is proof that this happened before.

Fact 7. We are not going to be killed by rising seas or burnt to death by increasing summer temperatures (what summer?). The human race will just adapt and move to suit the ways of the world. We have been doing it for millions of years. Where land is clained by the sea, another piece pops up somewhere else. Do they not think that there is more adavancements to make in technology and science?

We will think of something when it comes along. The internal combustion engine wasnt just invented out of luck, it was invented because we had to move on with the times and the requirements of modern life. Hovercars next? Why not! I do think that neuclear energy is the way forward. The waste can be fired off toward the sun (which is in effect a big neuclear fire ball) to save it being stored on earth - im sure it can be done. Its only side effect is steam and hot water. Science might suggest a use for that stuff!!

Petrol and fuel prices are a joke. We are not running out of fuel by any stretch of the imagination. We are sat on loads of it in the UK. We just sell it off cheap for some reason only to buy it back at a huge mark up. There are immeasurable supplies in the deep oceans (recently discovered by BP i believe and being kept secret to keep prices high - just off south america).

I cant rant any longer, i'll make myself sick!
