BBC headline: Gordon Brown is to convene an international conference on Islamic radicals operating in Yemen

Another bandwagon for the global statesman to climb on. I just wish he'd apply his gigantic intelect to our 'homegrown' problems. Maybe there's an election in the offing.

In fact I would sooner that the coward does not touch one more thing about Britain ever again. Let him fk off to Yemen - hope that he chooses to stay.

It's not even a new conference. There is one on Afghanistan anyway, and he's just adding on the side.

Well thats playing the international statesman, it's his only card left before the election, as turning the supertanker that is our economy is out of his hands, that will now be decided by the markets, particularly, as UK plc is going to have to try and sell billions of gilts, bonds etc or else the massive deficit will not be funded, of course, he needs to keep our AAA status, or we'll knocking on the IMF door sooner rather than later and of course the great myth that he was the mastermind/genius behind the 11years of "boom" & "abolishing bust", has been laid bare for all who chose to see. Alot of us chose not to see. but really we knew as he rode UK plc on a debt fuelled bubble, like much of the west, accept we've been found out bigger than anyone else.

Perhaps it's best he leaves his intellect on the economy well alone.

This particular band wagon seems nothing more than window dressing unless they are going to set off on another ill advised military adventure without remembering their history.
