Labour Party deputy leader Harriet Harman has been fined £350 after pleading guilty to driving without due care and attention.

The case relates to a minor accident in Dulwich, south London, on 3 July, 2009.

A second charge of driving while using a mobile phone had been withdrawn, Westminster Magistrates' Court heard.

Wonder if anyone bothered to check her phone records.

Is this the same one that the odious little refused to give her details mouthing off something like, "I'm Harriet Harman you know where to find me"

I notice the Labour Broadcasting Company didn't include that part.

According to the radio they dropped the charges relating to her being on her phone. The CPS figured because she was not on the highway it wouldn't have stacked up. But she hit another car! Surely it was worth a try...... She has 9 points now.

Rather than moaning about it, someone go around with a 12 bore and blow her away rolleyes

This above comment is not meant seriously and neither I or Haymarket would endorse actually blowing Ms Harman away

Ignoring who she is for a moment...

I would be well hacked off getting 3 points for reversing my car into another car at a speed so slow it caused no damage to either car.

Why was it even taken to court?

She was on the phone when she hit the car. Don't know why the daft bh couldn't get a Handsfree kit on expenses.

She wasn't prosecuted for that though.

So technically EVERY small bump between one car and another lays the driver responsible open to a charge of carless driving ... ?

If she was on the phone she should have been done for that ... but of course whe wasn't - as she would then have been banned presumably.

Hard to ignore when she was the Minister of Justice - she reversed into someone's car whilst on the phone and didn't leave her details and was prosecuted for undue care and attention.

Conveniently they dropped the charges relating to what caused the lack of attention.

Probably scared she would deposit a baby alien into them..
