Well they nicked Xerox PARC's Star "desktop metaphor" OS in 1983, so no change there then.

I think Apples $28B in cash may have something to do with it...

Problem is the patent system - too many patents, and they are too generic so it si difficult to not breach them

If you work with tech companies, you will quickly come to know that success breeds IP claims. Every successful tech company is forever fighting claims that somebody else has IP rights to parts of its successful productts.
