Interesting that it's the same firm of architects that designed the Scottish Parliament building.

So does this mean that architects are now the new bankers? or has goodwin been convicted of somthing? or it simply another outpouring of misplaced anger?

Wont you please think of the CHILDREN!!!

Gives the media something to fill the pages with and cause a bit of public hatred.

If everyone is looking at the left hand, no one seems to notice the right hand giving us the finger.

Okay so could someone tell me why i am meant to be disgusted at the idea of an unemployed banker who caused problems in the banking sector getting a job outside banking

Or am i being a bit thick today?

Because his track record in the banking sector left the tax payer out of pocket and contributed to the poor state the UK economy is in today. This in turn has impacted our building industry.

My view is he should have gone to jail because of his failing at RBS let alone get a bloody pension. If they can send Nick Leeson to jail, why not him.

What law did he break? Was it not the government that agreed his golden parachute? Are you sure your anger is correctly directed?

I'm not convinced that the court of popular opinion is a good one for us to accept...

My view is that the only people who should go to jail are the people who have broken the laws of this country, "all" goodwin did was make an error of judgement when buying ABN Amro, there is even an argument that he wasnt informed of the bad debt that ABN held, as the bloke with the big desk, goodwin was ultimatley responsible and held to account for his actions, by losing his job.

Nick Leeson, effectivley gambled bearings bank money on a series of trades that he wasnt authorised to make, he then went out of his way to hide his mounting loses, THAT is why Nick went to prison

Why would they be associated with anyone like this? They have a lot more important things to be getting on with than Fred working for a little company.

Such as getting Osborne in the top spot, or giving Mandy full reign, or getting Rumpuy a bit more power.

I think the baying masses want him to clean out some toilets out round Glasgow, or something rather less glamourous than an executive position. What a funny world we live in.

I'm amazed your post has punctuation and letters both capital and lowercase. I can only assume you had assistance with it.

With all the public backlash, newspaper investigations and hunger within New Labour to find as many scapegoats who aren't them as possible, never mind the backstabbers within the industry itself, don't you think somebody would have noticed if Fred Goodwin had acted illegally?

Thought not.
