What a disgusting waste of taxpayers money the officers involved should all be sacked and lose their pensions.
But will probably recieve a commendation and promotion. How did they know he didn't have an inflatable airport he was about to blow up?
...and another thing. Anjem Choudry spouted his b
ks about the west being evil and how he will keep protesting even though his organisation is banned because they are a threat. Do we arrest him? No, we pay his f
king benefits so he can keep up his vile hate campaign. f

I agree that this could have been ended before it started. But given that the media, politicians and public have a particular loving for 'hindsight' it would be foolish in the extreme to not follow this up and investigate further.Maybe if it was written in Arabic then it would be different then?
Either way, the day that you don't investigate these things is the day that something happens. Threats are made day in and day out. 99.99% of them are not serious or particularly targeted. However, a few are actually real and these need to be stopped. In reality most terrorists are amateur and lack any form of ability to deliver on what they threaten. But occasionally, even the simplest tactics can work and they slip through the net.
But like I said, this could have stopped before it started. Quite why they didnt stop it before it got out of hand is a bit odd. Surely someone involved could have seen what was going on and spoken up? Or do we have a culture of silence? Hopefully not.
