So, back in November 2008 when Darling reduced VAT to 15% he put alcohol duties up to compensate this. However, from Jan 2010 VAT went back up, but did alcohol duty drop? Did it fk.furious So the gubmint have effectively screwed another duty increase out of the drinker. No doubt there will be another one in April as well. And people wonder why so many pubs are shuttingrolleyes.

Went out on Wednesday to my local town - it's £1 drinks all night and has been for years.

Sat nights are obviously when the main 'partying' happens as we all prob have jobs but if you can get out for a mid week booze up it's always good fun!

Drinks will always be cheap etc - i'm out tonight and we'll all have a few before we go out into Leeds etc so saving money.

Sat night is a booze up in bratislava so again cheap ish drinks - just be smart and don't let gordon ruin your fun. He is so miserable this whole country is wallowing in misery and depression - make sure that he doesn't stop the fun guys!
Make the most of it, that's their next agenda, getting rid of drinks promotions to put a stop to binge drinking
