After reading in the NASA thread a poster saying words to the effect of "the sooner he's off the world stage, the better", just wondered what alpha males think of him?

He's better than Brown. I don't agree with his stance, but he is more intelligent, honest, charismatic and likeable than the Brown. But that's not really the best compliment you could bestow upon the most powerful man on earth.

I think he was a better choice than the other option....but...he's proved himself to be just another politician. The visionary we all hoped for has not materialised.

I think he deserved the Nobel Peace Prize for the great things he did in his first two or three weeks in office.

I had a bowel movement earlier that was more intelligent, honest, charismatic and likeable than Gordon Brown.

But is it not too early to see how his term manifests itself?

One year (just over) isn't long enough IMO. We need to see how his Guantanamo policy evolves: that may be his major fk up along with healthcare reform (even though I agree with the latter, the idea is essentially foreign in the USA from what I've seen on the news).

I just thought it is fairly strong for someone to be saying he needs to go already: is it not the case that this view is directed at ALL politicians (as they all turn out the same) as opposed to just Obama?

Going on a talkshow showed a lack of judgement that means he's never going to be more than a "soundbite" President.

Blair and Clinton were political "brothers" and Obama has the same chap/guru as CLinton. We may as well add Dave Cameron in there as well.

Collectivist assholes, all of them, hellbent on eroding your wealth and freedom!

He doesn't seem to have actually done anything productive or actually get any of his big manifesto statements even out of the talking stage yet.

Bet the Nobel Foundation are kicking themselves for jumping the gun and giving him the prize before he had delivered.

He is a BLOODY good Orator in my opinion, believable and captivating.

I see why people follow him.
I do think he does actually mean well but is wadding through the treacle commonly known as Politics / back door deals / bribes / money / favours.

yes - Politics
He continually reads off teleprompters. So much so, that CNN actually asked the Whitehouse if they could be moved as they were getting in the way! (A request denied). It's been noted that he has taken teleprompters to a whole new level of use.

And the only reason he's popular is because Bush was so unpopular. Now there is no Bush, the popularity is proving fleeting.

IMO, if he wasn't black no one would ever have thought otherwise.

I've never really seen or heard what he does that's so special, yes he's a smooth talker, but most presidents are, Clinton was a much more powerful speaker IMO.

His ideas are fairly middle of the road Democrat stuff, free health care was a Clinton agenda too, but he had the same problem with getting it past congress. His promise to close Guantanamo on day one was hyperbole that proved impractical. What else has he done that's "visionary"?

I work for a US company, I am one of only two Brits in the entire office. I've yet to meet one American who actually likes Obama, they all seem to despise the man and think he is a complete waste of space.

He makes the world a safer place by not being the elderly John McCain, with Mrs Palin just waiting for the big heart attack so she could have the nice office.

Better America over spends on welfare than spending money it hasn't got on invading other countries.
