anyone get the feeling that Lord Goldsmith is slowly being hung out to dry on this. Tony Blair was quite forthright that Lord Goldsmith said it was okay and that's why he decided it was okay to go in.
Now Claire Short sticking it to him as well. I believe he's as guilty as the rest but I can see old Tony walking away from this whilst Lord Goldsmith is slowly roasted....

Short? You're having a laugh. If she had even the slightest principle she would have resigned from Cabinet, as Robin Cook did, when it was clear that Blair was going to war. Had she done so it would have looked principled and could have been damaging for Blair, coming on top of Cooks resignation. Instead she signed up for the war and only resigned some months later.
